Before slaughtering, Muslims perform the pilgrimage at Kaaba, which has been set up by Abraham himself. This pilgrimage is done to pay the homage at Kaaba. Kaaba is the place where Muslims perform Hajj, which is the fundamental institution of Islam. Eid-al-Adha is itself celebrated on the day of 10th Dhul-Hijjah. Prophet Abraham has proven himself as the righteous man in the light of Islam, which is why God has set one festival which pays the highest tribute to what and how Abraham has devoted his life for. Abraham had been the reason behind the coming of both Arabia and Israel people. It is Muslims believe that Muhammad is a descendant of Abraham. Bible says that, Ishmael was the step brother of Isaac, whereas the very first born child of Abraham was only Isaac. The Bible quotes the words said by God as, â€Å"Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering upon one of the mountains of which I shall tell you. † It shows that according to Bible, Isaac was the only son whom God mentioned to endure the sacrifice. Islam disagrees with this belief. Al-Tabari’s account clearly states that, Ishmael was the sacrificial son. That is because, on asking for a righteous son, God offered Abraham with a son whose name was Ishmael. Abraham promised and gave vow Ishmael as the sacrificial child for God. Muslims argues that Isaac was not only seen as the only child of Abraham because, the birth of Ishmael was fourteen years prior Isaac. Therefore, the promising child was not Isaac, but Ishmael. Muslims also believes that the reading from Ishmael to Isaac has been corrupted very finely. Quran also agrees with the fact that, Isaac was the miracle child, and was conceived by Sarah. Sarah was near to very old woman, when she miraculously conceived Isaac. Whereas, the conceive process of Ishmael was normal and at the right age. Hence, Isaac was a miracle child, and also became as a promising child, according to the Biblical account.
